Donald Stewart, age 74, of Prospect, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Athens, AL. He was born on December 28, 1951, in Giles County, TN, to Walter Lillard and Martha Ann James Stewart. Donald was a passionate hunter of ginseng and arrowheads, and he had a deep love for gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Stewart, his wife Susie Stewart, and his sisters Brina Swanner and Vickie Stewart. Donald is survived by his daughter Becky Stewart of Elkton, brothers James Stewart of Athens, Mike Stewart of Pulaski, Teddy Stewart (Cheryl) of Minor Hill, Jeff Stewart (Alisa) of Minor Hill, and sister Paulette Thompson (Wayne Swanner) of Athens. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
No services are scheduled at this time. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donald will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
