Haughty Elizabeth Forsythe, 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025 at her home. Born on October 12th, 1931 to the late Will and Minnie Adams, Elizabeth dedicated many years to Forrest Hill Sewing Factory and Stephen’s Sewing Factory in Pulaski, TN before retiring. She found joy in gardening, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends. Elizabeth was a devoted member of New Prospect Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C Forsythe; daughter, Peggy Wright; son, John H. Forsythe; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Forsythe; grandson, Scotty Keener; great-grandson, Brayden Forsythe, and several siblings. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Judy Smith, Linda McCubbin, Carolyn Whitsitt (Jeff), and Gary Forsythe (Brenda); 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Daniels.
Visitation will be held at New Prospect Church of Christ on Monday, February 10th, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Shaw Cemetery. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is honored to be handling all final arrangements.
