Jimmy Ray Chambers, Sr. age 62, husband of Susan Chambers, and a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his residence.
Born on August 6, 1961, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Jimmy was the son of the late John Rippy Chambers and the late Clara Mae Price Chambers. He was a graduate of Lawrence County High School and worked at Murray Ohio for twelve years. Jim and his son, Johnathan, frequently participated in the Middle Tennessee Fair Demolition Derbies. Jim had an upholstery shop in his home on Tipton Street in Lawrenceburg for numerous years where he and his wife, Susan, AKA “Suzie Q,” worked side by side.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Johnathan (Kimberly) Chambers, Jimmy Ray Chambers, Billy Joe Chambers, Justin Matthew (Beth) Chambers, brother, John Carlton Chambers, sisters, Janice (David) Robinson, Jeannette (Susie) Pilkinton, and grandchildren, Brandi, Colton, and Jamie.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Connor Rex Chambers, brother, James Edward Chambers, sister, Joann Chambers, nephews, Michael Giles, and ex-wife, Rebecca Sue “Becky” Chambers.
Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
