Joyce Ann Myers, age 62, of Pulaski, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems Pulaski. Born in Athens, AL on September 27, 1963, to Charles Alton and Margie Anne Thornton Shokley, Joyce was a dedicated manager at McDonald’s for many years. She had a passion for yard sales, thrift stores, and enjoying steak at Betty’s in Columbia. Joyce also found joy in watching comedies and soap operas.
She is preceded in death by her “Deddy” Cecil Watts, biological father Charles Shokley, grandchild Sophia Athena Abernathy, and husband Kenneth Baker. Joyce is survived by her husband Richard Myers of Pulaski; sons Bobby Brandon Abernathy (Wendy) of Pulaski, Brian Darrell Abernathy (Rachel) of Elkton; grandchildren Trent Abernathy, Lexi Abernathy, Isiah Abernathy, Connor Abernathy, Lukas Abernathy, Lilly Myers; great-grandchild Luxton; brothers Farrell Watts (Loretta) of Riceville, Lynn Watts (Connie) of Lewisburg, Andy Watts of Pulaski, and C.J. Watts of Pulaski.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with Funeral Services following at 2 pm. Interment will be in Hester’s Chapel Cemetery. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Joyce will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
