Joyce Marie Word, age 78, of St. Joseph passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2024, after a short illness. She was a homemaker and known as Mama Joyce to many. Joyce was of the Church of Christ faith.
Joyce is survived by:
Daughters: Kelly McMasters (Steve) and Sherrie Townsend (Toby)
Grandchildren: Cody Bailey, Kelsey McMasters, Eli Word and Kaitlin Word
Sister: Gail McMurtrey (Phillip)
Brothers Wayne Kilpatrick (Brenda) and David Kilpatrick (Debbie)
Many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by:
Husband: James Edward Word
Son: Nicki Word
Parents: C.W. and Eva Dean Kilpatrick
Brother: Oscar Kilpatrick
Visitation will be Friday July 5, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Wilson, Casey Wilson, Barkley Wilson, Alex Kilpatrick and Ben Hayes.
