Margaret Ann Burgess, age 88, of Smithville, TN passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Sparta, TN, a homemaker, loved listening to music, and singing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgel and Myrtle Bennett Flatt; and her husband, Franklin Burgess.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Enoch (Brian) of Smithville, TN, and Misty Roskam of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Ben Burgess of Lawrenceburg, TN; twelve grandchildren, Britney Turnbull (Keegan), Deven Whitehead (Savanna), Travis Whitehead (Chelsey), Faith Lopp (Devon), Ben Burgess, Jr., Jeffrey Burgess, Hannah Flores, Breanna, Tyler, Corey, Savanna, and Mason; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, February 26, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, February 26, 2024, with Art McCormack officiating. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
