Nancy Yvonne Fields Porter, age 89, of Lexington, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, and a retired Vice President of Bank of Lexington and Colonial Bank. Nancy was a devoted member of Lexington Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at Lexington Church of Christ on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with Danny Pettus and Brian Jerrett officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Lexington Church of Christ. She will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Portertown Cemetery.
Nancy is survived by her two sisters, Faye Fields Stafford (Jerry) of Huntsville, AL, and Sandra Fields Bogle (Joe) of Lexington, AL, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bradley Porter, and her parents, Presley and Ora Davis Fields.
