Janet Yvonne Gieske, 69, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 19th, 2025. Born on May 17th, 1955, Janet retired from Graphic Packaging. She was a devoted Christian and a woman of great faith. Family meant everything to her, and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by loved ones at campouts, cookouts, and get-togethers. Janet took great pride in her daughter, Christy, and granddaughter, Brittany. She had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities such as hunting for mushrooms, canoeing, and fishing.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Pearlene Bradley Jacobs, and her brother, Jeff Jacobs. She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Gieske, daughter Christy Clemons (David), grandchildren Brittany McDonald (Max) and Hunter Clemons, and great-grandchildren Graylynn and Thatcher Bedingfield, and Coy Tanner McDonald. She is also survived by her sister, Betsy McBride, brothers Satch Jacobs (Jean), Dwight Jacobs (Shari), Jerry Jacobs, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her care nurse, Sonya Brooks of Compassus. A memorial service will be held this Spring, Janet’s favorite time of year. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
