Ottis “Mitch” Mitchell, Jr., age 81, of Westpoint, TN, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. He was the beloved husband of Sue Mitchell for 60 years and a loving father to Jana Mattox and Don Lopp. Ottis was the proud owner of Mitch’s Small Engines and was a faithful member of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, children, special grandchildren, brother, sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Ottis was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis Mitchell, Sr. and Gertrude Littrell Mitchell.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, located at 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 16, 2025, with interment to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
Ottis will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
