Robert Rodney Prince, 90, of Rogersville, passed away on March 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born on October 29, 1934.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Prince, and his children, Alana Springer (Danny), Lisa Connell Brown (Andy), and Brianna McDonald Childers (Steve). He is also survived by his stepchildren, Victoria Lee Chaney (Ben) and Veronica Woods (Shane).
Mr. Prince was a cherished grandfather to Chesney Springer Peeples (Ryan), India Springer, Levi Parker, Ashley Elkabetz (Corey), Alexandra Bonabi (Philip), William Ryan McDonald, Collin Childers, Taylor Childers (Scott), and Kameron King. He was also a beloved step-grandfather to Larun and Dalton Sammett, Ory Shane Woods, and Maddie Grace Woods. He leaves behind 10 and a half great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Emmanuel Grace Church of God, followed by a funeral service officiated by Bishop Paul Fox and Bishop Justus Cole. The burial will take place at McCartney Cemetery, with Elkins East Chapel assisting the family.
Pallbearers will include Corey Elkabetz, Cyler Parker, Cason Parker, Ryan Peeples, John Connell, and Chris LouAllen, with Doyle Lamar and Phillip Butler serving as honorary pallbearers.
