Roger Don Rose, 80, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. Don, as he was affectionately known, was a devoted member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and found great joy in attending services. He had a passion for sports, particularly Braves baseball, all Vanderbilt sports, and basketball games. Don also cherished watching old reruns and took pride in maintaining a well-kept lawn, finding solace in the act of cutting grass.
Born on June 28, 1945, Don was raised in the Campbellsville Community on a dairy farm. He graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1964 and maintained close relationships with his beloved classmates. Don served his country in the U.S Navy before his health led to an honorable discharge. He had a deep love for his family, especially his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Bedford Forrest Rose and Pearl Thurman Rose, and his brother-in-law, Harold Pete Watson. He is survived by his brothers, Calvin and Janet Rose, Stanley and Vivian Rose, and his sister, Linda Rose Watson, along with numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with Funeral Services following at 1pm. Interment will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Don’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
