Shane Eugene Ridling, 51, of Killen, AL, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Shane is survived by his daughter, Kaylee Atkinson, son-in-law Jesse Atkinson, and granddaughter Jayleigh Atkinson. He is also survived by his son, Kody Ridling, and his ex-wife and husband, Connie and David Holden. Additionally, he is survived by many loving family members in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Ridling, his mother, Sheila Ridling, and his twin babies, Shanna and Tyler Ridling. He also joins his grandparents and many other loved ones in eternal rest.
Shane was a master carpenter, dedicating 18 years of his career to Junior Smith Builders. He also worked for Southern Wall Systems in Georgia before returning to Alabama. He was a cherished member of the IBEW family and formed close bonds while supporting his son-in-law, Jesse.
A Celebration of Life for Shane will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, with family and friends officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive visitors from 2:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Shane’s memory. Shane will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
