Horace Wayne Borden Sr., 79, of Killen, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Linnie Michael Borden; brothers, Jessie, Jack, and Billy Earl; sisters, Louise, Maggie, and Pauline; daughter, Tammy Lynn Borden; grandson, Jeremy Borden; and wives, Bonnie Proctor and Vickie Daily.
He is survived by his brothers, Roger Borden Sr. (Becky) and Charles Borden (Crystal); children, Tommy Borden (Cheyenne), Horace Borden Jr., and Michelle Borden; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members; his beloved dog, Penny Weinnie; and cats, Princess, Blackie, Midnight, and Fluffy.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 1-3 PM at Elkins East Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 PM at Butler Cemetery. The family expresses their gratitude to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, Cottage of the Shoals Nursing Home, and Elkins Funeral Home for their care and support.
