Shirley Lee Jones, age 74, of Leoma, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 at North Alabama Medical Center. She was a member of Bible Truth Ministries in Lawrenceburg. She was a retired seamstress, retiring from Sevier Skirts in Nashville. She fought and beat cancer five times throughout her life, keeping her beloved family in mind every step of the way. In her spare time, she enjoyed staying busy with her crafts and sewing. She loved being a grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jones; parents, Ernest and Catherine Kingan; sister, Nancy Runkles.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Garcia (Lester) and Denise Funches; siblings, Barbara Stewart, Susie Schoonover, Butch Kingan, Allen Kingan, Mary Davis, and Patty Martz; grandchildren, Steven Cook, Lucus Miller, Emma Gorsuch, and Ricky Garcia.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is in charge of handling all final arrangements.
