Ruth Ferguson, 91, of Leoma, TN, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at NHC Healthcare, Lawrenceburg after a brief illness. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from North End Market, and a member of Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Matthew Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Ruth is survived by her son, Alan Ferguson (Renee) of Leoma, TN; daughter, Lisa Watson (Donnie) of Leoma, TN; brother, Ronnie Burlison (Connie) of Hartselle, AL; sisters, Ramona Edwards of Greenbrier, AR, Wanda Ragan of Florence, AL, and Patricia Bedingfield (Wayne) of Leoma, TN; 4 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Ferguson; parents, Gilbert & Leola Hanson Burlison; brother, Roy Burlison; sister, Martha Pitts; and granddaughter, Rianna Watson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
