William Patrick Rutherford, 54, of Nashville, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital. Born on February 14, 1970, in Texas, Patrick was an artist with a passion for nature, friendship, and purpose. He had a keen eye for detail and a talent for drawing, which led him to pursue a career in the culinary arts.
Patrick’s artistic journey began with drawing, where he displayed a remarkable ability to capture the intricacies of his subjects. His love for cooking and baking eventually became his life’s work, and he left an indelible mark at various renowned establishments in New York and Nashville.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Patrick had a deep love for nature and the outdoors. He found solace in exploring the natural world and shared his experiences and wisdom with others. His selfless nature and caring demeanor endeared him to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Patrick is survived by his loving parents, William “Bill” and Beth Rutherford, his brother Ted Rutherford, and his two nephews, Cameron and Jacob Rutherford. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th, at the Margaret Butler Library of First Presbyterian Church of Pulaski, followed by a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Pulaski or the Giles County Public Library.
William Patrick Rutherford’s legacy will live on through his art, his love for nature, and the impact he made on those around him.
