Bobby Gene Ezell, born on July 13, 1937, passed away on November 27, 2025, on Thanksgiving morning, just before a beautiful sunrise. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Mabry Ezell, of 67 ½ years, and his daughters Karen Ezell Smelser (Jim) and Donna Ezell Rains (Michael-deceased). He is also survived by 5 grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren.
Bobby was born in Lauderdale County, AL, to parents James Patrick (J.P.) and Rosalie (Marshall) Ezell. He graduated from Summertown High School and enjoyed a successful basketball career. He married Wanda on May 10, 1958, and they lived and worked in Nashville. Bobby served in the Army and retired from Pirelli Tire. He and Wanda enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Bobby was a Christian who led a quiet life and was respected by others for his daily actions. He will be remembered for his love for his family and his dedication to his faith.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and a graveside service and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent through their website at www.nealfuneralhome.net. Bobby will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
