Willa Dean Trapp Hamby, 95, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on February 2, 2026, at her residence. Willa was a retired LPN at the old Donelson Hospital, where she provided care to patients in the recovery room. She was a devoted member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ. Willa was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin F. and Mattie L. Harris Trapp, her husband George O. Hamby, her daughter Sheila Hamby, her son Robin Hamby, and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina Jernigan, and her sons Randy Hamby (Rose-Ellen), Ronnie Hamby, and Roger Hamby. Willa also leaves behind eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, with Jacob Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Fall River Cemetery in Leoma, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Pulaski Street Church of Christ. Condolences may be sent via the website at www.nealfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home.
